RAINBOW GLASS

There's this one spot in the uni's library that I tend to hibernate in. It's a cozy space in the basement by the Art Book Room. Today I was attempting to study for my Spanish final and could not focus to save my life.

I looked at my credit card bill.  My tuition payment plan. My schedule for next semester. My student loans. The cost for my dream grad program. I looked at my sleep patterns from the night before. I looked at how many calories I had left for the day. I looked at the empty recycling bin next to me and the full trash can across the room.  Then, I looked at the floor and saw the rainbow reflection from the glass above me and out of my sight.

Young adulthood sucks. But sooner or later, it's worth it, right?
